|DEAN MCINNES 100 GAMES & SIMON COCKS 50 GAMES||updated February 27, 2014|
DEAN MCINNES – 100 GAMES.
During Round 11 Deano brings up his 100 game milestone. Walked in off the street and straight into a premiership side of the first Juggernaut including a match winning 9 for in the Grand Final. Over the last few years, he has carried the weight of the Seconds, either as a captain prior to Chris taking on the job, or as the main bowler who has toiled long and hard. Now in the twilight of this career and potentially a spot in the Vets calling, Dean has been a integral member of the club representing all sides during his 100 games and in addition to his bowling his at times handy lower order batting has been vital on occasions. Well done Dean, in addition with Lisa and the kids, we have been blessed that you walked in off to street to East Burwood.
SIMON COCKS – 50 GAMES.
Our big quick in the Firsts celebrates his first games milestone this round. In career best form prior to Christmas, after bouncing back from a life threatening illness contracted over last summer, Simon has led the way of the fast bowling cartel in the club. Basically being played as a batsman for the 3 games after Christmas, he has pushed through the pain barrier to re-commence bowling in the manner as he is accustomed to over the last 2 rounds. Dangerously sharp with the ball when it all clicks, handy lower order batting and a clean pair of hands in the field, Cocksy has been a vital member of the First XI over the past 4-5 seasons. Having to work late on Friday and Saturday nights puts a spanner in his preparation but he continues to roll up and give it his all. Congratulations Simon, hopefully with the help of the club we can keep you together for may more games to come.
